Audience Effects Theory

                  Audience effects theory

1) The info audiences take passively these messages have the same effect on all

2) The more modern and generally accepted view audiences interact with

3) The idea that all audiences are passive and thus take the intended message from the producers product

4) Personal/identity:

   Why:

   Diversion/entertainment: Blue planet

Why: it immerses the viewer watching into the landscape

   Relationships:

   Why:

5) In the Blue Planet clip the way they give the audience pleasure/gratification is put through giving a voyeuristic and visceral way this is done through using hidden cameras to capture the sea animal on camera secretly and showing moments of thrill and excitement along with that Blue planet uses information/surveillance methods to capture the attention of the audience this is done through giving info on the sea life and how they behave furthermore it offers a sort of escape for the audience with something relaxing and educational to watch.

EXTENTION

Despite audiences showing cases where they have believed something which was simply untrue this does not mean that all audiences will believe everything they see in the media landscape this is due to the fact that all people take different forms of media and have the free will to choose whether they believe something to be true or false thus despite some audiences having cases where they believe a type of media which was false it does not account for all viewers
