BlackPink aired in 2016 and has exploded in popularity ever since thus this simultaneously helped K-pop culture go mainstream and spread across the globe

YG entertainment formed the group in 2016 and they broke the records for most views in 24 hours most viewed music video

3) How has technology and the internet (known as technological convergence) changed the way audiences consume music videos?

Music videos are now mostly published on social media via youtube and since then have remained typically on social media furthermore advertising and teasers are also done on social media for new music releases

4) How do BLACKPINK and K-pop show that the media and music industries are now global?

As they have fans across the globe and have gone mainstream performing concerts in places such as London

5) How are UK-based music videos regulated and what types of content require warnings? 

With music videos now largely consumed on YouTube, regulating the content of music videos is very difficult. Some UK-based record companies get their music videos rated by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).

In my opinion i believe that youtube does a good job at helping new upcoming artists get a platform on social media as there exists sections of youtube to listen to music and have services like youtube music app

In my opinion i believe videogames are more influential as people dont tend to watch music videos but instead have it open in the background whilst doing smth thus this helps infer that videogames tend to have a bigger following as they immerse the audience with not only a way to pass the time but with soundtracks and their own music to listen to
